Ashley’s practice focuses on trademark, copyright, domain name, advertising and trade secret matters, and she routinely assists clients with trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement and licensing matters. Additionally, Ashley has extensive brand development, new product development and client counseling experience from time spent as in-house counsel at a large consumer products company where she spent considerable time collaborating with research & development, quality, manufacturing, marketing, finance, product stewardship and corporate leadership.
Ashley has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States in cases involving copyright and trademark infringement, dilution, trade dress infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract, among others. She has successfully represented clients in numerous UDRP proceedings and in rem proceedings under the Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA) and advises clients on domain name enforcement strategies. She represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Throughout her career, Ashley has served clients in a broad range of business areas, including consumer products companies, food and beverage manufacturers, luxury fashion brands, educational testing companies, insurance companies, financial services, medical device companies, restaurants, hair salons and hair products, video games and software.
Ashley is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the International Trademark Association (Right of Publicity Committee).
