BECKI C. LEE
Becki’s practice focuses on trademark and copyright counseling, registration, and enforcement. She protects clients’ intellectual property through litigation, anticounterfeiting enforcement, DMCA takedowns, domain name disputes, and portfolio management for companies large and small. She has worked on federal district court and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board disputes: recent cases include defending an international fashion brand in a trademark infringement and disparagement dispute, protecting a renowned liqueur brand’s trademark rights, and representing singer-songwriters in a copyright infringement dispute. She also successfully defended a client against a defamation claim in state court.
Becki worked for ten years in the music industry as a public relations and marketing professional before going to law school. While in law school, Becki was on the Moot Court board and won Best Brief at the 2014 Cardozo BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition. She also served as President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society.
Becki is a volunteer member attorney with Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, and an active member of GSU Law’s Intellectual Property Advisory Board, the International Trademark Association, and Copyright Society of the USA.
