YLD IP COMMITTEE HOLDS FIRST EVENT, SECOND IS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 23

 In Events, Intellectual Property

The Intellectual Property Committee of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division, co-chaired by Amy Lester-Drew and Jason H. Cooper of The Sladkus Law Group, held its first event on October 24 at Ted’s Montana Grill in Midtown. YLD IP Committee members met and mingled while enjoying some delicious food and learning more about the Committee and its upcoming events. Representatives from the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (“AVLF”) were in attendance and shared information with members about its Saturday Lawyer program.

For the third year in a row the YLD IP Committee is proudly partnering with AVLF to provide its members with pro bono opportunities. The first is taking place in just a few weeks. On Saturday, November 23, the YLD IP Committee is co-sponsoring a Saturday Lawyer clinic with the Georgia Bar IP Section. Participants will assist low-income Atlantans with various legal issues, including landlord-tenant and financial disputes.

If you’d like to join the YLD IP Committee, please sign up here.

If you’re interested in participating in the upcoming Saturday Lawyer clinic (even if you are not a Committee member!) please email jason@sladlaw.com or alester-drew@sladlaw.com.
